Kicking-Off Engaging Experiences for Fans during the Recent 26th Men’s World Handball Championship
Link Development, a global technology solutions provider and an A15 company, unveiled today that it has recently delivered the International Handball Federation (IHF) its new competition website of the 26th edition of the Men's World Handball Championship right before its January 2019 throw offs; marking the first milestone is a vibrant digital transformation journey that includes an entire new website for the IHF and more.
Founded in 1946, the IMF is responsible for the organization and management of handball's major international tournaments and competitions. To stress on its mission to promote the game and boost the ever-growing popularity of the sport, the IHF chose Link Development to digitally transform its online presence and fans’ digital experiences.
Joining the capacities of Open Source on Microsoft Azure and crafting a very attractive look and feel, Link Development designed an attractive experience for online fans to enjoy the Men’s World Handball Championship, hosted by the IMF and held in Denmark and Germany from 10 to 27 January 2019.
To leverage the cost efficiencies, security and scalability of the cloud, Link Datacenter, a sister company for Link Development, is hosting the website with its current and future capacities on Microsoft Azure.
Link Development is using latest digital practices to deliver engaging experiences for the sport’s fans and website visitors. Additionally, the company is working with the IHF on progressing a digital transformation plan that includes virtual coaching, gamification, e-Commerce, interactive tools, inter-federation player transfers and much more.
